Cooking for Dhawan - How to boil water

At Mr. Dhawan's express request here is a set of instructions on how to boil water.

You will need:

As much water as you would like to boil. Refer to recipe for exact amount
Metal container of 10% more more capacity than the amount of water to be boiled


What you need to do:
1. Put water into container
2. Switch on and light gas
3. Cover the container with a cover, preferably with a heat retardant handle
4. Wait
5. Observe the water to see if bubbles are rapidly escaping from the bottom of the container
6. Observe the surface to see if it is highly agitated
7. To confirm use a high temperature food thermometer to confirm if the water is at 100 C
8. Switch off gas or use water as indicated by recipe
